Rain!

I am loving all of this rain! I love hearing the rolling thunder and seeing lightning flashing across the sky, and I love knowing that our mighty God is behind it all. I love the sound of the rain on the windows, and feeling safe and cozy inside. But I think the part I love the most is the way things are just after it rains. I love the smell, I love how green everything is, I love how clear the sky gets. It's so beautiful!
I think all this rain is normal for Colorado, but we've been in a draught so long I don't really ever remember
having a rainy season.
I can't understand why God would be so merciful and send so much rain to this state and make things so beautiful. But He is, and I am so thankful for it.

Here's a couple pictures that I've taken lately that I just like.

These are from a lake off hwy 66 that we like to go to now. There's a path around it that's about 3 or so miles long. The other day Mommy, Andrea and I took a walk around it and got caught in a rain shower on the side that has no trees. We reached a clump of trees that provided great shelter juuust in time for the rain to stop. My sole consolation was that my hair still looked nice... =)
We actually didn't get all that wet, and it was a beautiful rain that left the air clearer and a rainbow in the sky.

The view from our street of one of many beautiful rainbows we've seen lately:

"And God said: "This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the coventant between me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My coventant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.'"
-Genesis 9:12-15
